Though Wilson continues to progress, noting that he is "definitely gaining ground" as he recovers from a calf injury, Justin Fields is trending toward making a third straight start at quarterback for the Steelers this weekend. Wilson has served as the team's inactive emergency third quarterback in each of Pittsburgh's first two contests, with Kyle Allen having backed up Fields thus far.
