Jackson (undisclosed) was waived by the Giants on Tuesday with an injury settlement, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

The Giants waived Jackson (undisclosed) with an injury designation Friday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.

Jackson suited up for both Cleveland and Indianapolis in 2023, but he demonstrated a tendency to fumble the ball away and thus spent most of last season on the bench. He'll now have to look for another opportunity with a new team.

Jackson signed a reserve/future contract with the Giants on Monday, Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic reports.

Jackson made appearances with the Colts and Browns this season, before ultimately finding his way to the Giants. The Duke product ended up totaling four appearances on the year, with 14 carries for 16 yards and five catches on six targets for 14 more yards through the air. He'll now have an opportunity to carve out a bigger role next season in New York.

The Giants signed Jackson to their practice squad Wednesday, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports.

Just a couple days after cutting him, the Giants have now decided to bring Jackson back on board. As long as Saquon Barkley and Matt Breida remain healthy, Jackson's path to playing time is still virtually nonexistent.

Jackson has appeared in four games for three different teams this season. He rushed one time for two yards in one appearance for the Giants. Jackson will look for yet another team to give him a shot.

Jackson (coach's decision) is inactive ahead of Sunday's game against the Commanders, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Jackson will be a healthy scratch for the second time since signing with the Giants in late October. The 24-year-old running back has spent time with Cleveland, Indianapolis and New York this season, recording 30 total yards on 19 touches.

Jackson cleared league concussion protocol Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Jackson sat out of Sunday's game at Dallas as he dealt with a concussion, but it now looks like he'll be available for Week 11. In his first and only appearance with the Giants thus far, he took one carry for two yards.

Jackson (concussion) is ruled out for Sunday's road matchup against the Cowboys, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Jackson won't be eligible to retake the field until he's fully cleared the NFL's five-step concussion protocol. The depth running back will should have a good chance to return to health in time to suit up on the road versus Washington in Week 11.

Dealing with concussion

Jackson is in concussion protocol Wednesday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Jackson played just 10 total snaps in Sunday's loss at Las Vegas, but it seems he might have picked up a concussion somewhere along the way. Most players who have entered the league's concussion protocol in 2023 have missed at least one game, so it's not a great sign as it relates to the possibility he'll play again in Week 10.
