The Bears released Colbert (undisclosed) with an injury settlement Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Colbert was placed on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury during the middle of training camp, which would've ended his 2023 campaign. However, he's now free to join a new team once he can pass a physical. Colbert appeared in two games last year (both with Chicago) but played exclusively on special teams.

Colbert landed on the Bears' injured reserve Monday with an undisclosed injury
There is no word on the nature of Colbert's injury at this point in time. Prior to his placement on IR, he was competing for a role providing depth in Chicago's secondary. He is now in line to miss the entire 2023 campaign unless both he and the team come to terms on an injury settlement at some point.
