Limited at OTAs
Latest Headline: Published 2023-05-25
Robinson (foot) has been limited at OTAs this week, Chris Adamski of TribLIVE.com reports.
Robinson is still working his way back from surgery to repair a broken foot and expects to be 100 percent for the start of training camp later this summer. He's been participating in on-field work this week, but the veteran wideout is taking things slow. Notably, Robinson has been working as the slot receiver with the first-team offense. Diontae Johnson and George Pickens have remained on the outside.

Contract reworked
Latest Headline: Published 2023-04-20
Robinson reworked his contract to decrease the base amount of his deal to $1.2 million in 2023 and $10 million in 2024, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The 2023 figure is only what the Steelers owe Robinson, as the Rams will pay him $10 million as well. The deal makes his cap hit more palatable for Pittsburgh and is also an indication of his underwhelming production across the last two seasons. Robinson will be in search of a rebound campaign, but he'll have to compete directly with Diontae Johnson and George Pickens for targets.
Passes physical to complete trade
Latest Headline: Published 2023-04-19
Robinson (foot) has passed his physical with the Steelers, which makes his trade from the Rams official, Dianna Russini of ESPN reports.
Per Brooke Pryor of ESPN, the Steelers are sending a seventh-round draft pick (No. 234 overall) to the Rams in exchange for Robinson and a seventh-round choice (No. 251 overall). Under the terms of the deal, Los Angeles is slated to pay $10.25 million of Robinson's $15.25 million guaranteed salary for the coming season, while Pittsburgh will pay the remaining $5 million. In his new locale, Robinson will provide depth, versatility and experience to a wideout corps that features Diontae Johnson and George Pickens, and also includes 2022 fourth-rounder Calvin Austin. On the heels of logging 33 catches for 339 yards and three TDs in 10 games last season, Robinson has some bounce-back potential in 2023 if he can prove that he's fully past the stress fracture in his foot that landed him on IR last November.
Flipped to Steelers in pick swap
Latest Headline: Published 2023-04-18
The Steelers have agreed to acquire Robinson and the No. 251 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft from the Rams in exchange for the No. 234 overall pick in this year's NFL Draft, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Robinson is on his way to Pittsburgh Tuesday afternoon and will take his physical Wednesday. In order to facilitate the deal, the Rams are paying $10.25 million of Robinson's 2023 salary, while the Steelers cover the remaining $5 million. With the Steelers, Robinson figures to be kicking inside to the slot while Diontae Johnson and George Pickens remain on the outside. Robinson had a miserable 2022 with Los Angeles but had no chemistry whatsoever with Matthew Stafford after Stafford sat out much of the offseason program resting his elbow. Robinson, 30 in August, shouldn't be counted on to return meaningful fantasy numbers in Pittsburgh, but there's no direction to go but up following his lost 2022 that ended prematurely with a broken foot in Week 11. He should be ready in time for a normal training camp.
Could be traded to Steelers
Latest Headline: Published 2023-04-18
The Steelers are bringing Robinson (foot) in for a physical and if that goes well, the wideout is expected to head to Pittsburgh in a trade, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Robinson, who recorded a 33-339-3 stat line on 52 targets in 10 games last season with the Rams in 2022, is bouncing back from a foot injury, but if he's past the issue, the 29-year-old would be a nice addition to a Pittsburgh wide receiver corps that is currently headed by Diontae Johnson and George Pickens.
Allowed to seek trade
Latest Headline: Published 2023-03-06
The Rams have given Robinson (foot) permission Monday to seek a trade, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Los Angeles is even reportedly willing to take on a portion of the 29-year-old wideout's $15.25 million guaranteed salary to help get a trade done, per Pelissero. Robinson, who missed the last seven games of the 2022 season due to a foot injury, logged just a 33-339-3 receiving line on 52 targets across 10 games in his debut season with the Rams, after having put up 38-410-1 in 12 contests with the Bears back in 2021. Robinson's chances of a career revival at this point may depend on finding a quality landing spot for a fresh start.
