James (ankle) was listed as a limited practice participant on Friday's injury report and is questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos.

James has been sidelined for the Raiders' last two regular-season games due to an ankle injury he suffered in Week 8 against the Chiefs. James was a DNP on Wednesday, but he earned the questionable tag for Sunday's game after logging consecutive limited practices to end the week. If he's unable to play, Jackson Powers-Johnson will start at center for a third straight game.

James (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

James suffered an ankle injury in Week 8 against the Chiefs, which forced him to be held out for Week 9 against the Bengals. Even with the extra rest courtesy of the Raiders' Week 10 bye, James was unable to practice all week, and he will be sidelined for a third consecutive game as a result. Jackson Powers-Johnson will continue to start at center in James' absence.

James re-signed with the Raiders on Sunday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

James' new contract is for three years and worth $24 million with $16 million guaranteed, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The 26-year-old has spent the last five seasons with the Franchise and is now set to add a sixth to his resume. James has been the team's starter at center each of the last three seasons and should have the inside track for the role again in 2024.

Ready for Monday

James (ankle) has no injury designation ahead of Monday's game against the Chiefs.

The 26-year-old offensive lineman missed Las Vegas' Week 15 win over the Chargers, but after a week of limited practice sessions, he's been able to move past his ankle issue. James returns to a Raiders' offensive line that could have their hands full in Week 16, as the Chiefs' defense ranks fourth in the NFL in total sacks (46.0).
