Cleveland waived Schwartz (hamstring) from injured reserve Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
After he missed the first two games of the season with a hamstring issue, the Browns decided to let go of Schwartz. He'll now have to look for another opportunity elsewhere.

Schwartz has been dealing with the injury for about a week, and he'll now potentially miss the 2023 campaign due to it. If the 2021 third-round selection clears waivers, he'll revert to IR which will keep him on the shelf for the season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team.

Schwartz (hamstring) is doubtful to play in Cleveland's preseason finale, Doc Louallen of the team's official site reports.
Cleveland will most likely continue to hold Schwartz out with a hamstring injury after he missed practice earlier in the week. The young wideout is entering his third season after being selected by the Browns in the third-round of the 2021 NFL Draft. With only 14 career receptions, expect the 22-year-old to serve as a depth piece in Cleveland's wide receiver room ahead of the coming season.

Schwartz (hamstring) didn't practice Tuesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
He was working off to the side with the training staff. Injuries have been Schwartz's downfall since being drafted 91st overall in 2021. He missed nine games across his first two seasons and is in a heated competition for a roster spot this summer. Missing the final preseason came could be a big blow to his chances of making the team.

Schwartz caught four of 10 targets for 33 yards in Thursday's preseason game against Philadelphia. He also had one carry for minus-5 yards.
Schwartz bounced back from a tough Preseason Week 1 showing, when he was shut out on three targets with a drop. He made one tough catch in traffic Thursday, holding onto the ball after getting hit. Cleveland coaches gave the 2021 third-round draft pick a lot of chances to improve his roster status. Schwartz is in danger of losing a spot, particularly with the surprising play from free agent Austin Watkins.

Schwartz played with the second-team offense late in the first quarter and into the second. He failed to hold onto one of his targets after getting hit and had a fumble in last week's Hall of Fame Game. At this point, he's not looking like one of the top 53 and could lose valuable reps to others behind him on the depth chart.
