Makes some strides in second year

Durant logged 39 tackles (23 solo) and six passes defended during the 2023 regular season over 16 games played.

The sophomore corner bounced in and out of the starting lineup through the season, and while his tackles and snaps on defense both increased over his rookie year, he failed to record a pick after notching three of them in 2022. The cornerback position for the Rams could be in flux heading into 2024, with Ahkello Witherspoon a free agent and little depth behind Durant remaining, so Durant's role for his third campaign may be hard to determine before training camp begins.

Durant (shoulder) was a full participant at Thursday's practice, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

Durant injured his shoulder in Week 8 and aggravated it the following week versus the Packers. He subsequently missed the team's Week 11 matchup with the Seahawks following a bye week. Barring any setbacks, he looks set to resume his role at starting cornerback opposite Ahkello Witherspoon.

Coach Sean McVay said Durant is making progress and might be able to return for the Rams' Week 12 game against the Cardinals, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

The starting cornerback suffered the shoulder injury in Week 8 against the Cowboys, aggravated it the next week versus the Packers and then missed the team's Week 11 win over the Seahawks after a bye. Durant has 31 tackles and five passes defensed in nine games this season.

Durant (shoulder) is inactive Sunday versus the Seahawks, Greg Beacham of the Associated Press reports.

Durant was considered questionable to play Sunday, but he'll ultimately be forced to take a seat in Week 11. Duke Shelley and Derion Kendrick stand to take on increased workloads in Durant's absence.

Could play Sunday

Durant (shoulder) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Sarah Barshop of reports.

Durant was limited all week in practice after aggravating his shoulder injury during the Rams' Week 9 loss to the Packers. If the second-year cornerback is unable to suit up this Sunday, Duke Shelley and Derion Kendrick will likely see an uptick in snaps in Los Angeles' secondary.

Durant (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Packers.

The second-year corner seems to have re-aggravated the shoulder injury he suffered during the Rams' Week 8 loss. Duke Shelley has stepped in at corner for the time being, per Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic.

Will play Sunday

Durant (shoulder) is active Sunday against the Packers, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

Durant was able to log limited practices throughout the week paving the way for him to suit up against Green Bay. He should draw the start opposite Derion Kendrick at cornerback.

Questionable after trio of LPs

Durant (shoulder) is tabbed as questionable to play in Sunday's Week 9 contest against the Packers, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Durant hurt his shoulder in a loss to Dallas on Sunday and practiced in limited fashion all three days during Week 9 prep. That gives him a chance to suit up against Green Bay on Sunday, though his status may not be determined until pregame warmups. Should Durant need to sit out, Duke Shelley could see increased reps.

Limited participant in practice

Durant (shoulder) was a limited participant in Seattle's practice Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Durant left Sunday's loss to the Cowboys with what was originally being reported as a neck injury, but he is now officially said to have a shoulder injury. While the 25-year-old will look to be good to go for Sunday's matchup with the Packers, Duke Shelley should see an increase role if Durant is unable to play.
