Excellent usage to end season
Latest Headline: Published 2023-01-16
Parkinson caught three of six targets for 14 yards in Saturday's 41-23 playoff loss to the 49ers.
Parkinson's usage immediately skyrocketed when Will Dissly (knee) went down with a knee injury, as he played at 79 percent of the offensive snaps over the final two regular-season games. He also recorded 16 targets over the final three games, including the postseason. Most importantly, he ran ahead of former first-round pick Noah Fant in all three of those games. Parkinson still never posted more than 47 yards in a game all season. The Seahawks' tight end room will be tough to decipher heading into the 2023 season, as Parkinson, Fant and Dissly are all projected to be on the roster again.

Remains top tight end in Seattle
Latest Headline: Published 2023-01-09
Parkinson caught two of three targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 19-16 overtime win over the Rams.
Parkinson's Week 17 usage wasn't a fluke. He operated as the top tight end ahead of Noah Fant for a second straight game Sunday, as Parkinson handled 55 snaps (79 percent) while Fant clocked in at 45 snaps (64 percent). The usage is certainly intriguing, so Parkinson has a chance to be the No. 3 pass catcher behind DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett in Seattle in any given week.
Operates as No. 1 tight end
Latest Headline: Published 2023-01-02
Parkinson caught five of six targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-6 win over the Jets.
Parkinson worked as the Seahawks' clear No. 3 tight end all season behind Will Dissly and Noah Fant. Dissly since has been placed on injured reserve with a knee injury, but instead of shifting to the No. 2 role, Parkinson operated as the top TE in Week 17. Parkinson played 80 percent of the offensive snaps while Fant was targeted three times and handled a 63 percent share. It's worth monitoring this usage again Week 18, and Parkinson is worth keeping tabs on.
Increased role ahead
Latest Headline: Published 2022-12-29
Parkinson should handle an increased workload moving forward following news that Will Dissly (knee) was placed on injured reserve, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Dissly could become available later in the playoffs if the Seahawks make it, but he won't return during the regular season. Last week, Parkinson handled a season-high 30 offensive snaps and produced three catches (four targets) for 45 yards. The 2020 fourth-round pick could handle an even larger workload in Week 17 versus the Jets as the No. 2 tight end behind Noah Fant (knee).
