Inactive Thursday
Flott (coach's decision) is inactive Thursday versus the 49ers.
Flott has been dealing with a hamstring injury and it's unclear if head coach Brian Daboll is holding him out of the contest as a result or not. Darnay Holmes will likely see an uptick in usage in Flott's absence.

Flott (hamstring) was a full participant at practice Friday ahead of Sunday's game at the Cardinals.
After missing Week 1 with a hamstring injury, Flott appears to be ready to play in Week 2 at Arizona. He figures to serve as a depth option behind starters Adoree' Jackson, Tre Hawkins and Deonte Banks.
Limited at Wednesday's practice
Flott (hamstring) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday ahead of Sunday's game at Arizona, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Flott was forced to sit out of Week 1 with a hamstring injury, and his status for Week 2 is now up in the air. A limited practice is at least a step in the right direction though, and he still has Thursday and Friday to potentially log full participation.
Won't play Sunday
Flott (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record
Flott was doubtful ahead of Sunday's regular-season opener, so his status doesn't come as a significant surprise. Darnay Holmes could see increased playing time against Dallas, while Flott's next chance to return will be Sept. 17 against Arizona.
Doubtful for Sunday
Flott (hamstring) is listed as doubtful Friday for Sunday's game versus the Cowboys, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
It's looking increasingly likely that the hamstring issue Flott is dealing with will keep him sidelined for the Giants' regular-season opener. Darnay Holmes is a likely candidate to see increased reps if Flott is forced to sit out.
Dealing with new injury
Flott (hamstring) should be ready to play Week 1 against the Cowboys, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Flott was reportedly dealing with an abdominal injury earlier in camp, and it's not clear if the two are related. Either way, the LSU product should be a depth piece in the team's secondary and is expected to be ready to compete in the season opener in two weeks.
Exits early in opener
Flott was forced out of Friday's preseason opener against the Panthers due to an abdominal injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
There is no word on the severity of Flott's injury other than he came up in some pain after a red zone stop towards the end of the first half. Prior to exiting, he recorded two tackles (one solo) and one pass defensed. He is expected to provide depth at cornerback for the Giants this season when healthy.
Bulked up in offseason
Flott added muscle during the offseason in an effort to improve his tackling in the slot, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports.
Flott was forced to play mostly as an outside corner during his rookie campaign, but he'll be in an open competition with Darnay Holmes during training camp for a starting slot corner position. While Flott showed promise in coverage as a rookie, he struggled with his tackling at times and also missed five games due to a calf injury. His combine weight was listed as 175 pounds, but he recently told Giants reporter John Schmeelk that he's now up to 180.
Practicing again
Flott has seemingly recovered from his hamstring injury, John Schmeelk of the Giants' official site reports.
Flott suffered a hamstring injury ahead of the Giants' divisional-round loss to the Eagles but is now practicing once again. The 21-year-old played in 11 games during his rookie season, logging 26 tackles (15 solo) and will now compete for a larger role heading into his sophomore campaign.
