Minnesota signed Baldwin to its practice squad Wednesday.

The Vikings worked out Baldwin just over a week ago, and they apparently liked what they saw enough to bring him aboard their practice squad. If Justin Jefferson is unable to play in Week 12, Baldwin could be elevated as soon as Monday versus the Bears.

Minnesota worked out Baldwin on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Dealing with a slew of injuries to their wide receivers room, the Vikings saw fit to work out Baldwin ahead of Week 11. In one game with Cleveland in 2022, he turned two targets into two receptions for 25 yards.

Reaches injury settlement

The Browns waived Baldwin (hamstring) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Baldwin reverted to the Browns' injured reserve list after clearing waivers and was slated to miss the entire 2023 campaign. However, the 2022 UDFA is now free to sign a new contract once he's able to pass a physical. Baldwin is expected to need 6-to-8 weeks to recover following surgery, and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that Cleveland would be interested in re-signing the Michigan product when he's back to full strength.

Baldwin (hamstring) reverted to injured reserve Saturday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Baldwin tore a small tendon behind his knee which will require surgery, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. The injury typically takes 6-8 weeks to recover from and Cleveland is expected to offer Baldwin an injury settlement, as opposed to keeping him on IR for the remainder of the season, with hopes to then re-sign him, Pelissero adds.

Coach Kevin Stefanski said on Friday that Baldwin (hamstring) will miss time with a "significant" injury, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Baldwin was injured early in the first half of Thursday night's Hall of Fame Game versus the Jets. It's a tough blow for Baldwin after he'd been making noise in Browns camp with Amari Cooper missing practice time. Baldwin had been seeing reps with the first-team offense.

Baldwin exited Thursday's Hall of Fame Game against the Jets with an injury to his hamstring, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

The wide receiver visited the sideline tent in the second quarter and went to the locker room just before halftime. Baldwin spent most of 2022 on the practice squad but caught two passes for 25 yards in his lone game appearance. The second-year player is fighting for a roster spot in 2023.
