Reverts to practice squad
Allen reverted to Philadelphia' practice squad Monday.
Allen did not record any stats during Sunday's loss to the Jets and while playing solely on special teams. Allen has now been activated for two games this year and will return to the practice squad and await his next opportunity to be called up.

The Eagles elevated Allen from the practice squad Saturday.
The move corresponds with wide receiver Quez Watkins (hamstring) being placed on injured reserve Friday. This is the second time Allen has been elevated from the practice squad this season. He played Week 3 against the Buccaneers when he played 11 snaps on special teams and had a 17-yard punt return in that contest.
Returns to practice squad
Allen reverted to the Eagles' practice squad Tuesday.
Allen was elevated ahead of the team's 25-11 win over the Buccaneers on Monday, returning one punt for 17 yards while playing 11 special-teams snaps. The wide receiver could be added to the active roster again in Week 4 versus the Commanders if Quez Watkins (hamstring) is unavailable again.
Set to play Monday night
Allen is active for Monday's game against the Buccaneers.
This comes as the Eagles ruled out Quez Watkins (hamstring) out for Monday's contest. Allen joined Philadelphia's practice squad on Aug. 30 after being cut by the team the day before. He'll operate in a depth role at wide receiver and on special teams.
Links up with practice squad
Allen is signing with the Eagles' practice squad Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Allen was cut by the Eagles on Tuesday but will rejoin the organization's practice squad for a second consecutive season. He wasn't activated by Philadelphia in 2022 but could join the active roster in 2023 if the team needs receiving depth at some point.
Cut day victim
Allen was waived by the Eagles on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo reports.
Allen was once again unable to crack the 53-man roster in his second training camp with Philadelphia. After spending last season on their practice squad, he's a candidate to end up there again, according to Garafolo.
Returning to practice
Allen (undisclosed) was activated from the active/non-football injury list Tuesday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Allen will now get to work on earning a spot on the 53-man roster after he spent the 2022 campaign on the Eagles' practice squad. The 28-year-old made a return to football last season after moving on from a decorated track career that saw him compete in the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics.
Placed on active/PUP list
The Eagles placed Allen on the active/PUP list Wednesday due to an undisclosed injury.
The severity of Allen's injury remains unclear, but he's eligible to practice and/or play at any point during the preseason. The undrafted wideout out of Oregon spent the 2022 campaign on Philadelphia's practice squad and was never elevated to the active roster, but he landed a futures deal following the Super Bowl. Last year was Allen's first season back playing football after a decorated track career that included participating in the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics.
Back with Philly
Allen signed a reserve/future deal with the Eagles on Wednesday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Allen spent the 2022 campaign on the Eagles' practice squad and never received an elevation to the active roster. The 28-year-old, who played collegiately at Oregon from 2014 through 2016, previously resumed playing football last year after a decorated track career that included stints in the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics.
