Huge wild-card performance

Metcalf caught 10 of 13 targets for 136 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 41-23 wild-card loss to the 49ers.

The fourth-year receiver gave Seattle its first lead of the game with a 50-yard touchdown in the second quarter, but Metcalf's second score didn't come until late in the fourth after the team's defense had collapsed. The performance capped a strong regular season that saw the 25-year-old haul in a career-high 90 passes, turning them into 1,048 yards and six touchdowns. It's not clear if the Seahawks will re-sign Geno Smith or look elsewhere for a starting quarterback, but no matter who's under center, Metcalf will provide them with an elite target.

Struggles to close regular season

Metcalf recorded three receptions on eight targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 19-16 overtime win over the Rams.

Metcalf led the Seahawks with eight targets, though he struggled to make an impact on the game. He was targeted on each of Geno Smith's interceptions, but Metcalf also tallied a 23-yard reception to help set up a game-tying touchdown early in the third quarter. Seattle's offense performed far better than preseason expectations, which helped Metcalf post the second 1,000-yard season of his four-year career. He'll remain a big-play threat if the team can advance to the postseason.

Quiet in win over Jets

Metcalf caught one of five targets for three yards in Sunday's 23-6 win over the Jets.

It was a bad day for Seattle's wideouts in general, as Geno Smith's two touchdown passes went to tight ends and the team never trailed in the game, leaving little need to air it out. Metcalf will look to rebound from his worst performance of the season in Week 18 as the Seahawks try to claim a playoff spot with a win over the Rams.
