Metcalf caught three of five targets for 53 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-25 win over the Rams.
Metcalf gave managers still competing in Week 18 a solid fantasy score after a rough go of things in the second half of the season. The physical wideout finished just eight yards shy of his fourth 1,000-yard campaign, while finishing with a career-low five touchdowns. After being involved in potential trade rumors in the final year of his current deal with Seattle-- coupled with the emergence of WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba -- it wouldn't be a shock to see Metcalf donning different team colors in 2025. Wherever he winds up calling home this upcoming offseason, it is clear that the 26-year-old Metcalf still possesses big-play ability if he can operate as a team's top option.

Three grabs in low-scoring victory

Metcalf brought in all three targets for 42 yards in the Seahawks' 6-3 win over the Bears on Thursday night.
Metcalf finished second in receiving yards to Noah Fant and tied with multiple teammates for that slotting in receptions as well. The veteran receiver also drew a personal foul penalty late in the second quarter for an altercation with the Bears' Tyrique Stevenson in which he headbutted the cornerback, costing his team 15 yards on a drive that nevertheless ended in a field goal. Metcalf has maxed out at four receptions in six straight contests, but he could have a bigger role in a Week 18 road showdown with the Rams that may decide the NFC West.
Breaks scoreless streak Sunday

Metcalf had three receptions on seven targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Vikings.
The Seahawks continued to manage Metcalf's lingering shoulder injury during the practice week, but it did not affect his availability for Sunday's contest. The physical wideout finally hit pay dirt with a 25-yard grab in the second quarter after scoring his last touchdown back in Week 7. Metcalf has fallen out of favor to Jaxon Smith-Njigba as Geno Smith's favorite target in the second half of the season, so it was encouraging for fantasy managers to see their guy get back in the mix despite finishing behind JSN in receiving yet again. The 27-year-old Metcalf will attempt to build off this positive performance against the Bears on Thursday Night Football in Week 17.

Metcalf (shoulder) was a full practice participant Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Metcalf followed up Wednesday's absence with full participation one day later, setting him up to continue to play through a shoulder issue for a fourth consecutive contest. In the previous three outings, he gathered in 11 of 18 targets for 143 yards and no touchdowns.

For a fourth week in a row, Metcalf is tending to a shoulder injury, but he's been able to suit up in each of the past three games en route to a 11-143-0 line on 18 targets during that span. How much work, if any, he's able to handle Thursday and Friday likely will determine whether he goes into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest against the Vikings.

Metcalf actually finished as Seattle's second-leading receiver despite seeing his fewest targets to date in 2024. That statistic highlights how poor of a passing performance Geno Smith (knee) and Sam Howell combined for against the Packers' rabid defense. Metcalf has taken a backseat to Jaxon Smith-Njigba (10-83-0) in the second half of the season, but the former still holds fantasy value heading into a Week 16 matchup against the Vikings.

Metcalf (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Packers, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Metcalf played through the same injury the past couple weeks and handled his normal workload in wins over the Jets and Cardinals. He's caught at least four passes for 49-plus yards in four straight games since returning from a knee injury but hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 7.
Still dealing with shoulder issue

Metcalf now has had his practice reps impacted for a third consecutive week due to a shoulder issue, but he still was able to play Weeks 13 and 14, combining for eight catches (on 15 targets) for 115 yards and no touchdowns. Friday's injury report may provide some clarity regarding his status ahead of Sunday's contest against the Packers.
Gains 49 yards on four catches

Metcalf had four receptions (six targets) for 49 yards in Sunday's 30-18 win over Arizona.
Metcalf finished second in targets behind running back Zach Charbonnet (seven) while checking in third in receiving yards behind fellow wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba. The 27-year-old Metcalf's modest production out of the team's Week 10 bye may have fantasy managers concerned, but the wideout has maintained a high floor of 4.8 receptions and 61.0 yards during the mild four-game cold spell. Keep faith in Metcalf, as the Seahawks may require more from their receivers at home against Green Bay next Sunday.
