Cut loose by Chiefs
Prince (lower leg) was waived by Kansas City on Sunday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Prince was seen wearing a walking boot at practice Friday. The tight end finished last year on the practice-squad injured list with a foot injury, but it's not clear if that's related to the issue he's currently dealing with. His departure from Kansas City means Prince will now be able to find an opportunity with another NFL team.

Prince (lower leg) is not practicing Friday and wearing a walking boot, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Prince appears to be dealing with a lower leg injury ahead of training camp's start for veterans, but the Chiefs haven't opted to place him on a reserve list. That could indicate that he'll be ready to participate in at least a limited fashion when camp officially kicks off Sunday. Prince is heading into his age-27 season and has yet to make his NFL debut since going undrafted out of UAB in 2022.
Gets new deal
Prince (undisclosed) re-signed with the Chiefs on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Prince ended last season on the practice squad injured list, but can likely be considered fully recovered with Kansas City keeping him on board for 2024. The UAB product has yet to play in an NFL game, and when healthy was a regular member of the Chiefs practice squad last season. He'll now have the opportunity to carve out a larger role with the team next year.
Sidelined by injury
Prince (undisclosed) was placed on the Chiefs' practice squad injured list, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Prince linked up with Kansas City after not making the Jaguars roster out of training camp as an undrafted free agent. The 26-year-old will now be forced to stay on the sidelines for at least the next four weeks and will not be able to practice with the team.
Headed to KC
Prince joined Kansas City's practice squad Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Prince spent last year with Jacksonville's practice squad before getting waived by the team Tuesday. The 26-year-old went undrafted out of UAB in 2022, making second-team All-Conference USA in his final year of college.
Let go by Jaguars
Jacksonville is slated to waive Prince on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Prince could be a candidate to resurface on the Jaguars' practice squad, where he spent the entire 2022 season after having gone undrafted out UAB. The second-year tight end is still looking for a chance to make his NFL debut.
Will stay in Jacksonville
The Jaguars signed Prince to a reserve/future contract Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Prince spent the entire 2022 campaign on Jacksonville's practice squad, but he wasn't elevated to the active roster. With his new contract, the undrafted tight end out of UAB will be able to stick around the Jaguars' organization and have a chance to compete for a larger role during the offseason.
