Ramsey (hamstring) was left off the Dolphins' injury report Wednesday ahead of Thursday night's matchup with the Bills, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Ramsey has been nursing a hamstring injury over the past week, but it appears he's healthy enough to suit up for Thursday night's divisional matchup. The All-Pro corner helped lead Miami's defense in holding the Jaguars' offense to just 139 passing yards in Week 1, the ninth-best mark in the NFL. Expect Ramsey to line up opposite Kendall Fuller and create problems for Buffalo's wide receivers in Week 2.

Ramsey continues to deal with the injury, which has limited him for multiple weeks. However, it's worth noting he was able to play through it in Sunday's win over the Jaguars, and despite an expected limited snap count, still played 38 snaps on defense. With just three days to prepare for Thursday's game against the Bills, it's likely the veteran corner will remain limited throughout the week, but ultimately suit up for the game.

Ramsey had been held out of practice since around mid-August before he returned to the field as a limited participant Friday. The cornerback -- who finalized a three-year contract extension that same day -- apparently did enough during the practice to convince the Dolphins he was ready to play in Sunday's season opener, even though he had been listed as questionable heading into the day. Though Ramsey will likely start, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network relays that the 29-year-old is expected to be on something of a pitch count in Week 1 coming off the hamstring issue.

Even though Ramsey now has some longer-term security with the Dolphins, the coaching staff won't ask him to take on a full workload Sunday, likely due in part to the team facing a quick turnaround for Week 2 with a Thursday matchup with the Bills. Ramsey should be formally cleared when the Dolphins release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. ET Week 1 kickoff.

Hal Habib of the Palm Beach Post reports that Ramsey considers himself a game-time decision for Sunday's regular-season opener against Jacksonville. In the event that Ramsey can't go, Ethan Bonner will likely draw the start at cornerback.

Ramsey regains his title as the NFL's highest-paid cornerback just days after Patrick Surtain had vaulted into the top spot. The veteran has been sidelined due to a hamstring injury since Aug. 12, and he could be in danger of missing Sunday's regular-season opener against the Jaguars, but Miami's decision to extend Ramsey at this time is a clear indication that the team isn't worried about his long-term availability. If Ramsey is able to practice in at least a limited capacity Friday, he could still manage to suit up Week 1.

Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver said Thursday that he was "hopeful" Ramsey (calf) would be able to play Week 1 against the Jaguars, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Ramsey's injury wasn't supposed to be considered serious, but he's been sidelined since Aug. 12 and has not yet practiced this week. Weaver also mentioned the concern that Miami hosts the Bills next Thursday stating, "We have to be cognizant we have two games in five days." Ramsey's status for Jacksonville on Sunday may come down to the wire, and even if he does suit up, the veteran cornerback may see a limited snap count

Wednesday's injury report finally clarified the nature of the injury that kept Ramsey sidelined throughout training camp, though it's discouraging that the veteran cornerback still hasn't recovered with Sunday's regular-season opener against the Jaguars right around the corner. Ramsey will have two more opportunities to increase his practice participation level Thursday and Friday before getting an official Week 1 injury designation.
