Does not make team
Ealy was waived by the Chiefs on Tuesday.
Ealy has spent the first two seasons in the league bouncing on and off the Chiefs practice squad, but ultimately never getting the opportunity to suit up for a game. It looks like he is trending in that direction again in 2023, but it remains to be seen if the team will give him another practice squad offer.

Kansas City signed Ealy to a reserve/future contract Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Ealy bounced on and off the Chiefs' practice squad as an undrafted rookie during the 2022 campaign, but he wasn't afforded a chance to make his NFL debut. Now, the young wideout who played running back during his time at Ole Miss will get a chance to continue his development with Kansas City.
Back with Kansas City
The Chiefs signed Ealy to their practice squad Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Ealy, an undrafted rookie out of Mississippi, has bounced on and off the Chiefs' practice squad during the 2022 campaign, but the wideout, who played running back in college, still is looking to make his NFL debut. In a corresponding move, Kansas City cut Matthew Wright from its practice squad.
Done in Kansas City
The Chiefs cut Ealy from their practice squad Saturday.
In a corresponding move, third-year back La'Mical Perine was added to the practice squad. The undrafted rookie out of Ole Miss -- who played running back in college but was listed as a receiver by the Chiefs -- will now need to look for another opportunity elsewhere.
Coming back to KC
The Chiefs re-signed Ealy to the practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Ealy has spent time on and off the Chiefs' practice squad this season, and he'll now re-sign with the team for the second time in two weeks. The undrafted rookie spent the preseason with Kansas City, though he was never able to earn a roster spot and has yet to make his NFL debut. To make room for Ealy, the team also cut defensive tackle Daniel Wise from the practice squad Tuesday.
Loses spot again
Ealy was cut from the Chiefs' practice squad Thursday, Charles Goldman of USA Today reports.
Ealy was previously cut by the team Dec. 27, then brought back Jan. 3. It's unclear whether or not he'll get the same opportunity this time. The 22-year-old was brought in by the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in May, but he never made it to the active roster.
Returns to Kansas City
Ealy signed with the Chiefs' practice squad Monday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Ealy was cut from the Chiefs' practice squad last Tuesday, but with wide receiver Cornell Powell moving to the team's injured list, Ealy will get another opportunity in Kansas City.
