Fifth-year option exercised

Latest Headline: Published 2023-05-01

The Broncos picked up Jeudy's fifth-year option for the 2024 season on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Denver now has Jeudy under contract for two more season, setting him up to carry a $12.98 million salary for the 2024 campaign. The 24-year-old fell short of of his first 1,000-yard season by just 28 yards last year, but a strong finish nonetheless allowed him to rack up a 67-972-6 receiving line through 15 appearances. The Broncos added rookie wideout Marvin Mims in the second round of April's draft, and Tim Patrick (knee) could play a significant role once fully recovered from his ACL tear, but picking up Jeudy's fifth-year option is a no-brainer for new head coach Sean Payton.

Explosive performance in finale

Latest Headline: Published 2023-01-08

Jeudy secured five of six targets for 154 yards in the Broncos' 31-28 win over the Chargers on Sunday. He also rushed three times for 39 yards and recovered a fumble.

Jeudy led the Broncos in receptions and receiving yards while checking in second to Courtland Sutton in targets. While the third-year speedster wasn't on the receiving end of any of Russell Wilson's three touchdown tosses, Jeudy recorded a game-long 57-yard reception that put Denver in business at the Chargers' three-yard line late in the second quarter, leading to an Eric Tomlinson three-yard scoring grab. Jeudy fell just 28 yards short of his first 1,000-yard season, but his 67 receptions, 972 receiving yards and six touchdowns across 15 games were all career highs. The 2020 first-round pick enters the final year of his rookie contract in 2023, but given his strong body of work in his first season with Wilson, it's likely the Broncos pick up Jeudy's fifth-year option this offseason.

Cleared for Week 18 action

Latest Headline: Published 2023-01-06

Jeudy (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Jeudy gained clearance for the season finale after he put in a full practice Friday following limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday. Though the Denver passing offense has mostly been an unproductive one in 2022, Jeudy has posted his best numbers in the season's final stanza. Over his last four appearances, Jeudy has been targeted no fewer than eight times on any occasion while stringing together a 28-304-3 receiving line.

Reps capped in practice again

Latest Headline: Published 2023-01-05

Jeudy (ankle) will be a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

Jeudy's reps are being capped for the second straight day, but the Broncos haven't yet suggested that the third-year wideout is dealing with any sort of setback with the ankle issue that resulted in him being listed questionable ahead of last week's game against the Chiefs. He was ultimately cleared to play in the Broncos' eventual 27-24 loss, playing 89 percent of the offensive snaps en route to recording seven catches for 38 yards on eight targets. Assuming he gets the green light for Sunday's season finale against the Chargers, Jeudy should once again fill a high-volume role in the Denver passing attack.

Logs limited practice

Latest Headline: Published 2023-01-04

Jeudy (ankle) was listed as a limited practice participant Wednesday.

Jeudy was limited at practice last week and was deemed questionable for the Broncos' Week 17 contest against the Chiefs, but he ended up suiting up and recording an 89 percent snap share in the 27-24 loss. With no reported setbacks coming out of that contest, the wideout was likely limited for precautionary reasons and should be on track to play in this Sunday's season finale versus the Chargers.

Quiet in loss

Latest Headline: Published 2023-01-01

Jeudy caught seven of eight targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Chiefs.

Jeudy's underwhelming performance came on a day when he led the team in targets while the Broncos traded blows with the Chiefs. The veteran's 38 yards were his lowest in his past five games, as he has been one of the lone bright spots for Denver's offense in recent weeks. The growing chemistry between Jeudy and Russell Wilson may not have rendered much in the way of fantasy production Sunday, but the 23-year-old wideout will look to finish the year on a strong note when the Broncos host the Chargers in Week 18.

Active against Chiefs

Latest Headline: Published 2023-01-01

Jeudy (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

Jeudy will play through the ankle injury again, facing a Chiefs defense he scored three touchdowns against three weeks ago. He's caught 13 passes for 193 yards in two games since, emerging as one of the few bright spots for Denver in the second half of the season.

Questionable for Week 17

Latest Headline: Published 2022-12-30

Jeudy (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs after logging limited practices this week.

Jeudy's status thus is worth confirming, but fortunately for those inclined to use him in Week 17 fantasy lineups, the Broncos kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday. For his part, interim head coach Jerry Rosburg noted Friday that he fully expects Jeudy to play. If so, the 2020 first-rounder would be a key passing target for QB Russell Wilson versus Kansas City alongside fellow wideout Courtland Sutton.

Still limited in practice

Latest Headline: Published 2022-12-29

Jeudy (ankle) will remain a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports.

Each of Denver's top three receivers will have their reps capped for the second day in a row, with Courtland Sutton (hamstring) and Kendall Hinton (hamstring) joining Jeudy as limited participants. Considering both Jeudy and Sutton played north of 75 percent of the snaps on offense in Sunday's 51-14 loss to the Rams and neither is believed to be dealing with any reported setbacks with their respective injuries, the two are likely having their practice participation managed for maintenance-related reasons. Hinton, meanwhile, has sat out Denver's last two games and may need to advance to full participation to get cleared for Sunday's game in Kansas City.
