Has surgery on wrist Monday
Burrow underwent surgery to repair the torn ligament in his right wrist Monday.
The Bengals released the following statement regarding the surgery: "The procedure went as planned and he is expected to make a complete recovery. Joe will return to Cincinnati this week to be with the team and begin the recovery and rehab process." Burrow is in line to miss the rest of the campaign, capping him to 2,309 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions in parts of 10 games. There's an expectation that he'll be healthy well in advance of the 2024 season.

Getting surgery Monday
Burrow is set to undergo surgery Monday to repair the torn ligament in his right wrist, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Burrow will miss the rest of the season after Cincinnati placed him on injured reserve Saturday, just over a week after he suffered the injury in the Bengals' Nov. 16 loss to the Ravens. The expectation is that Burrow will make a full recovery in advance of the 2024 season, but the Bengals will turn the offense over to Jake Browning beginning with this Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Officially lands on IR
The Bengals officially placed Burrow (wrist) on injured reserve Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
No surprise here, as Burrow is set to miss the rest of the season due to a torn ligament in his right wrist. Cincinnati elevated AJ McCarron from the practice squad in a corresponding move to back up Jake Browning under center. Burrow will now focus on his recovery and rehabbing for the 2024 season.
In line to miss rest of season
Burrow (wrist) is slated to be out for the remainder of the 2023 season.
Per Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer, Burrow tore a ligament in his wrist and is thus trending toward needing season-ending surgery, per Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site. In Burrow's looming absence, Jake Browning is next up at QB for the team, with AJ McCarron currently on Cincinnati's practice squad.
Likely dealing with sprain
Burrow is believed to have suffered a sprain in his right wrist during Thursday's 34-20 loss to the Ravens, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Burrow exited the game shortly before halftime and was unable to grip the ball on his follow through when taking warmup throws on the sideline. He did not return to the game, though he'll now have 10 days to recover before another pivotal divisional contest in Week 12 against the Steelers. However, a potential timeline for his return remains unclear. Jake Browning took over under center and would likely remain the starter if Burrow is sidelined.
Ruled out from return
Burrow (wrist) will not return to Thursday's game against the Ravens.
Burrow suffered the injury midway through the second quarter after throwing a touchdown pass to Joe Mixon. After being evaluated in the locker room, Burrow returned to the sideline for the second half but was without a helmet. The severity of the injury is unknown, but the Bengals will rely on Jake Browning to close out Thursday's contest.
Suffers wrist injury
Burrow is questionable to return after suffering a wrist injury in Thursday's game against the Ravens.
Burrow appeared to suffer the injury after completing a touchdown pass to Joe Mixon in the second quarter. He tried to throw on the sideline after the issue arose, but he was unable to grip the ball and proceeded to the locker room.
Struggles with turnovers Sunday
Burrow completed 27 of 40 passes for 347 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions and added five carries for 20 yards in the Bengals' 30-27 loss to the Texans on Sunday. He also committed a fumble recovered by Cincinnati.
Burrow finished the afternoon with a perfectly acceptable fantasy stat line, but his pair of fourth-quarter interceptions were particularly detrimental despite neither directly leading to Texans points. His first pick came at Houston's 11-yard line, while the second transpired in the end zone and short-circuited what had been an encouraging seven-play, 78-yard drive. Burrow's highlights did include a picturesque 64-yard touchdown strike to Ja'Marr Chase, which was preceded by a 32-yard scoring toss to Trenton Irwin to cap off Cincinnati's opening possession. Burrow may not have Tee Higgins (hamstring) back for a critical Week 11 divisional road clash against the Ravens on Thursday night, but he'll head into the contest with two- and five-game streaks of 300-yard tallies and multi-touchdown efforts, respectively.
Play improves with health
Burrow completed 31 of 44 pass attempts for 348 yards with two touchdowns and no turnovers in Sunday's 24-18 win over the Bills.
Burrow turned in another masterful passing performance in his second game coming out of Cincinnati's bye in Week 7. The young superstar has completed 78 percent of his passes for 631 yards and five touchdowns in those two contests after a lingering calf injury limited his play out of the gates. Now that he is seemingly back at full strength, Burrow should resume his upper echelon status in fantasy while boosting his top receivers' projections for a home matchup against Houston's 24th-ranked pass defense next Sunday.
