Remaining in Buffalo
Poyer (head) agreed Wednesday with Buffalo on a two-year contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Poyer briefly explored his options as a free agent, but the 31-year-old safety is opting to continue his career in Buffalo, where he's spent the last six seasons. He recorded 63 tackles (44 solo), four interceptions, eight pass breakups and one forced fumble across 12 regular-season appearances in 2022.

Exits Sunday's game early
Poyer left Sunday's divisional-round matchup against the Bengals early and is being evaluated for a head injury.
Poyer and Tre'Davious White collided on a deep-pass play in the fourth quarter and both left to be evaluated for head injuries. The Bills are now without both of their starting safeties, as Dean Marlowe didn't return after halftime due to a groin injury.
Good to go Monday night
Poyer (knee) has been deemed active ahead of Monday Night Football versus Cincinnati, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Poyer was already expected to play despite being considered questionable due to a persistent knee injury. The 31-year-old has been available for only 11 games so far this season, though he is still a key piece of Buffalo's secondary when healthy. His availability could be a significant factor against the Bengals' star-studded passing attack led by quarterback Joe Burrow.
Plans to play
Poyer (knee) is expected to play Monday against the Bengals, Jenna Cottrell reports.
Poyer was able to log a limited practice Saturday, which was proceeded by back-to-back DNPs on Thursday and Friday. He still remains questionable for the pivotal Monday matchup with playoff implications, although according to Cottrell there are reports suggesting he will play. His ability to suit up would certainly be a major boon for the Bills' defense, as Cottrell also notes the Bills are undefeated when Poyer has played this season. IDP league managers will still want to confirm Poyer is active before leaving him in lineups ahead of the final game of Week 17.
Question mark for big game
Poyer (knee) is listed as questionable for Monday's game in Cincinnati, Alec White of the Bills' official site reports.
Poyer logged a limited session Saturday after missing practice completely Thursday and Friday, so we have to imagine he's on the better side of questionable, though those using Poyer in IDP leagues won't know for sure until Monday afternoon. Poyer, who has four interceptions on the year, hasn't picked one off since Week 4, but he's one of the better safeties in the league and his potential presence could prove pivotal in trying to slow down Joe Burrow and a strong Cincinnati offense.
Doesn't practice Thursday
Poyer (knee) didn't participate in Thursday's practice session.
Poyer played through a knee injury Saturday against Chicago, but he was unable to take the field to begin the Bills' week of practice ahead of Monday's game against the Bengals. The safety also had back-to-back DNPs ahead of Week 16, so it's certainly possible that he'll be available once again in Week 17.
