The Panthers have agreed to terms with Jewell, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

It's a three-year, $22.75 million deal with $10 million guaranteed, Jeremy Fowler of reports. The 29-year-old spent each of his first six seasons with the Broncos, and 2023 marked his third with at least 100 tackles. In Carolina, Jewell links back up with DC Ejiro Evero after Evero was Denver's defensive coordinator in 2022. Jewell should know the defense.

Jewell finished his sixth season in Denver with the second-most tackles behind Alex Singleton. The veteran linebacker's three sacks and three fumble recoveries were both career-highs for each category. Jewell is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and the Broncos may be compelled to re-sign him ahead of the 2024 campaign based on his consistent production. The 29-year-old will look to pick up where he left off as a strong IDP option next season.

Jewell led all Broncos defenders in tackles Saturday as he continued his impressive 2023 campaign. With 87 total tackles on the season, the veteran has the second-most tackles on the team behind fellow linebacker Alex Singleton (141). Jewell will look to make an impact once again when the Broncos host the Patriots in Week 16.

Jewell was part of a Denver defense that did a pretty good preventing Kansas City from getting into the end zone, though the Broncos' offense failed to take advantage. Jewell's tackle total tied a season-high mark, as he also notched nine stops Week 2 versus Washington. The Iowa product has tallied 33 tackles through five games on the campaign.
