Moffatt has been dealing with an undisclosed injury. He will now be free to look for a new opportunity once he is back to full health. The safety last saw the field for regular-season action in 2022 with the Falcons.

The Cardinals placed Moffatt (undisclosed) on their practice-squad IR on Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
It's not clear what type of issue Moffatt is dealing with, but he's now ineligible to play in the team's next four games. Moffatt got into three contests with Atlanta last season, with all 55 of his snaps coming on special teams.

Moffatt was awarded off waivers to the Cardinals on Monday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Moffatt had been waived by the Falcons on Friday. The safety appeared in three games for Atlanta last season before being placed on injured reserve due to a calf injury. Moffatt will bolster the safety depth for an Arizona team that was recently informed of a trade request by starting free safety Budda Baker (shoulder).

Moffatt has missed the last several weeks with the calf issue, but he now officially makes the move to IR. With just two games left for the Falcons, this move will officially end Moffatt's season early. He'll now turn his focus to being ready for 2023.

Moffatt will now be unavailable for a fifth consecutive week as a result of a lingering calf issue. The 26-year-old has made just three game appearances throughout this season, but he's ultimately been limited to a strict special-teams role in each of those matchups.
