Reaches injury settlement
The Raiders released Doss (undisclosed) from IR with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Doss will be free to sign elsewhere in the league, once healthy. The 28-year-old wideout suited up for five games with the Chargers last season, in which he secured six of 13 targets for 33 yards.

Placed on injured reserve
The Raiders placed Doss (undisclosed) on injured reserve Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.
It's unclear what is ailing Doss, but it caused him to miss Saturday's preseason game against the Vikings. The 28-year-old wide receiver will be forced to miss the entire 2024 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with Las Vegas.
Catches on with Las Vegas
The Raiders signed Doss to a contract Wednesday.
Doss has spent much of the last three years on multiple team's practice squads, though he did appear in five regular-season games with the Chargers in 2023, registering six catches on 13 targets for 33 yards. He will join the Raiders' 90-man training camp roster in hopes of securing a spot on the wide receiver depth chart following the retirement of Michael Gallup.
Only one catch in finale
Doss caught one of his five targets for eight yards in the 13-12 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
Doss had been on the Chargers' practice squad for a few years and the 27-year-old finally got a chance to play thanks to injuries to Mike Williams (knee), Joshua Palmer (knee) and Keenan Allen (heel). It's entirely possible the wideout, who first played in 2019, could see a similar circumstance occur as he enters the offseason an unrestricted free agent.
Prominent role in loss
Doss caught five of his eight targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 16-9 loss to the Broncos.
With Keenan Allen (heel) and Joshua Palmer (concussion) sidelined, Doss found a prominent role in a passing attack that struggled to create chunk plays. Despite the health of 2023 first-round pick Quentin Johnston, both Alex Erickson and Doss, two practice-squad castoffs at various points this season, combined to represent easily Easton Stick's two favorite targets. It remains to be seen if the aforementioned injured targets will play in the team's finale next week.
Signed to active roster
The Chargers signed Doss from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday.
Doss had already been elevated by Los Angeles three times this season, so it was necessary for the team to sign him to the active roster in order for the wideout to suit up this week. He's played just 17 offensive snaps over his three appearances this season and has yet to draw a target or record any stats. Doss could see a slight uptick in opportunity Sunday in Denver with Keenan Allen (heel) and Joshua Palmer (concussion) both ruled out, but he's not likely to be a major factor in the Chargers' passing game.
Reverts to practice squad
Doss reverted to the Chargers' practice squad Monday.
Doss played three offensive snaps during Sunday's loss to the Chiefs but failed to record any stats. The 27-year-old has now played in three games this season and could be elevated again next week versus the Bears as the Chargers only have five healthy receivers on the roster
Elevated Saturday
Doss has been elevated to the Chargers' active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Doss will appear in his third consecutive game after getting elevated from Los Angeles' practice squad Saturday. The 27-year-old wideout has played on 12 percent of the Chargers' offensive and special teams snaps this season, and he has yet to record a target.
Heads back to practice squad
Doss reverted to the Chargers' practice squad Tuesday.
In his second appearance of the 2023 campaign, Doss played 10 offensive snaps but failed to draw a target. The Chargers will be able to burn one more standard elevation on Doss before they'd have to sign him to the active roster for him to be eligible to suit up.
