Didn't participate at rookie camp
Latest Headline: Published 2023-05-19
Miller (knee) didn't participate in the Saints' rookie minicamp, John DeShazier of the team's official site reports.
Miller suffered a right MCL sprain during the College Football Playoff semifinal against Michigan and wasn't able to participate at the NFL Combine or TCU's Pro Day. The rookie third-round pick remained unavailable for the Saints' rookie minicamp, but he was still present and worked on his conditioning while watching from the sidelines. He has said he expects to be fully healthy for the training camp, but he'll have an uphill battle for playing time behind Alvin Kamara and Jamaal Williams. Miller was a downhill runner in college, totaling 1,399 yards and 17 touchdowns on 224 carries, but he's an unproven pass catcher, totaling just 29 receptions for 229 yards across three seasons at TCU.

The Saints selected Miller in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 71st overall.
Miller outlasted fellow 2023 prospect Zach Evans to take over the TCU backfield last year while Evans took his talents to Ole Miss. TCU got plenty of production out of Miller en route to its National Championship appearance, as he produced 1,399 yards and 17 touchdowns on 224 carries. Prior to that, Miller had 137 carries for 1,011 yards in two seasons. Miller is unproven as a pass-catcher with 29 career receptions for 229 yards, and an MCL injury prevented him from participating at the combine or pro day. The Saints are an interesting landing spot for Miller; if Alvin Kamara plays the whole season, it's tough to see Miller taking on a major role with Jamaal Williams also in the mix. Miller is an interesting speculative prospect in Dynasty formats, but his redraft value is murky for the time being.
Ahead of schedule in recovery

Miller (knee) is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a right MCL injury and has begun meeting with NFL teams ahead of April's draft, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Miller met with the Dolphins, Jaguars and Patriots on Wednesday, and is scheduled to meet with the Cardinals and Texans on Thursday, per Rapoport. The former TCU standout is working his way back from a right knee injury suffered during the College Football Playoff semifinal against Michigan, but if his recovery is indeed going well that could minimally impact his draft stock. Miller's fantasy value as a rookie will largely be determined by a combination of health, draft capital and landing spot, as he could potentially find an NFL home on Day 2 or Day 3 of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Declares for draft

Miller announced Monday that he will forgo his remaining collegiate eligibility at TCU and will enter the 2023 NFL Draft, Steven Johnson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Miller took over the TCU backfield as a junior in 2022 after being part of a committee in his first two seasons. His breakout included 224 carries for 1,399 yards and 17 touchdowns, which shows an impressive blend of volume and efficiency (6.2 YPC). He suffered a right knee injury in the College Football Playoff semifinal against Michigan that kept him out for TCU's National Championship Game loss to Georgia, and his health will be a story line going into the NFL Scouting Combine. Miller checks in at six feet and 220 pounds, and depending on his health, he might hear his name called on Day 2 or early Day 3 of the draft.
