Finds new home
Morse is signing a two-year, $7 million contract with the Jaguars on Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Morse quickly found a new team after being released by the Bills on Wednesday. The 31-year-old should take over at center and provide a boost to an offensive line that struggled last season and will otherwise remain intact for 2024.
Gets let go
Morse was released by the Bills on Wednesday.
Morse joined Buffalo in 2019 as a free agent, but after five seasons, he'll be looking for a new home for the 2024 campaign. The 31-year-old started 77 games at center for the team in that time, and with his exit, the Bills plan to move Connor McGovern to center, while David Edwards will start at guard, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Good to go Sunday
Morse (illness) does not carry an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
Morse was a late addition to Saturday's injury report with an illness, but he has since been removed and is good to go for the Bills' regular-season finale.
Added to injury report
Morse is listed as questionable for Sunday's regular season finale versus the Dolphins due to an illness.
Morse popped up on the injury report after missing Friday's practice due to an illness. His status Sunday will depend on how he is feeling closer to kickoff. If he is unable to go, Ryan Bates would be the likely candidate to replace him at center.
Clear for Week 2
Morse does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game versus Las Vegas.
As expected, Morse will be fine to suit up in Week 2 versus the Raiders. He'll resume his starting role at center in what Buffalo hopes can be a get-right game after a tough Week 1 loss.
