Green Bay cut McCrary (undisclosed) from the practice squad injured list with an injury settlement Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
McCrary had been placed on the practice squad IL on Aug. 30, which would have made him ineligible from being on the active NFL roster for at least four games. Now that he's agreed to an injury settlement, the 25-year-old can sign with another organization and can suit up whenever he is healthy. However, McCrary will likely need to settle for another practice squad spot given that he has played in only one career NFL game, which took place in 2021.

The Packers placed McCrary (undisclosed) on their practice-squad injured-reserve list Friday.
It's unclear what type of issue McCrary is dealing with, but he now isn't eligible to be moved up to the active NFL roster for the first four games of the regular season. McCrary has logged just one NFL snap, which took place when he was with the Ravens in 2021.
Back with Packers

McCray signed with the Packers' practice squad Wednesday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
McCray has bounced around since entering the league in 2021, but he's now landed on the Packers' practice squad ahead of the 2024 season. He could be elevated to the team's active roster if one of Josh Jacobs, MarShawn Lloyd or Emanuel Wilson misses time this year.

McCrary was a late addition during training camp, not joining the team until Aug. 14. According to Wood, the Saginaw Valley State product is likely to join Green Bay's practice squad.
Cut loose

McCrary was cut from the Browns practice squad Tuesday, Adam Caplan of Fox Sports reports.
The 24-year-old out of Saginaw Valley State was brought in last week to ensure depth at running back if Jerome Ford was unable to suit up Sunday, and the team has since decided to move on. In a corresponding move, the Browns signed running back Kenyan Drake to their practice squad Tuesday.

Cleveland signed McCrary to its practice squad Wednesday.
As injuries pile up in the Browns' running backs room, they saw fit to bring McCrary aboard to provide some depth at the position. If starter Jerome Ford can't go, McCrary could be elevated as soon as Sunday at Seattle.

The Packers waived McCrary on Tuesday, Wes Hodklewlcz of the team's official site reports.
McCrary and Patrick Taylor lost out on the No. 3 running back spot to rookie UDFA Emanuel Wilson. McCrary was picked up by the Packers on Aug. 7 after being let go by the Browns three days prior. He could look to return to Green Bay's practice squad once he clears waivers or look for opportunities elsewhere.
Finds paydirt Saturday

McCrary had seven carries for 24 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 19-15 preseason victory over the Seahawks.
McCrary saw work Saturday after not taking the field in Green Bay's second exhibition contest, and he wound up scoring the touchdown that gave the Packers the win. Although McCrary ended the preseason on a high note, he almost certainly find himself on the outside looking in when final cuts are made.
