Rourke signed with Jacksonville's practice squad Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Rourke will provide organizational depth behind franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence and backup C.J. Beathard. The former CFL standout has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game.

The Jaguars waived Rourke on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Rourke was looking to parlay a standout season with the CFL's BC Lions into an NFL career. He was competing against C.J. Beathard for the backup role under center behind Trevor Lawrence but ultimately came up short. He will now be a candidate to land on Jacksonville's practice squad should he choose to go that route.

Rourke announced Sunday via his personal Twitter account that he agreed to a reserve/future contract with the Jaguars.
The 24-year-old quarterback drew interest from several NFL teams following a standout season with the CFL's BC Lions. Over his 10 games with BC in 2022, Rourke threw for 3,349 yards and 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while carrying 39 times for 304 yards and seven more scores. He'll likely be competing for a backup role behind franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence during training camp in 2023.
