Needham and the Dolphins agreed to a one-year contract Wednesday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Needham appeared in five games with Miami during the 2023 campaign, recording seven tackles while playing 66 defensive snaps and 31 snaps with the special-teams unit. The 27-year-old will likely operate as a reserve option at cornerback with the Dolphins in 2024.

Needham (Achilles) is active ahead of Sunday's game against the Patriots.

The 26-year-old corner is in line to make his first appearance of the season, as he tore his Achilles during Miami's 2022 Week 6 contest. Needham will add depth to a Dolphins secondary that will be without Xavien Howard (groin) for the second consecutive game.

Miami activated Needham (Achilles) from its reserve/PUP list Tuesday.

The Dolphins originally designated Needham for return 20 days ago, and after a few weeks of practice it seems he's finally on the precipice of returning to game action. He should see notable playing time as soon as he's back in pads.

The Dolphins designated Needham (Achilles) to return from the reserve/PUP list Wednesday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.

Needham has spent the season on the PUP list as he recovers from a torn Achilles suffered last season but is now closer to making his return. The 26-year-old will add solid depth to Miami's secondary once he's officially added to the active roster within the next 21 days.

The Dolphins placed Needham (Achilles) on the reserve/PUP list Tuesday.

Needham will need to miss at least the first four games of the season as he continues to recover from an Achilles injury suffered last October. Once back to full health he's expected to handle a depth role at cornerback, which will be especially crucial for Miami with Jalen Ramsey (knee) expected to miss significant time.

Needham (Achilles) was placed on the Active/PUP list Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Needham is still recovering from the torn Achilles he suffered last October, but he will remain eligible to return to practice and play at any point this preseason. The cornerback returned to Miami on a one-year deal this offseason and he's expected to slot in as a depth option behind Xavien Howard and Jalen Ramsey (shoulder) in 2023.

Needham (Achilles) was seen running off to the side at Tuesday's practice, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Needham suffered a torn Achilles tendon in Week 6 last season and missed the remainder of the year. Now seven-plus months removed from the injury, he remains in the rehab phase. Needham was re-signed to a one-year deal as a free agent in March and will compete for the third cornerback job behind starters Xavien Howard and newcomer Jalen Ramsey.

Needham (Achilles) agreed to a one-year contract with the Dolphins on Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

Needham is recovering from an Achilles tear suffered in October. Prior to sustaining the injury, Needham had 21 tackles in six games for Miami in 2022.

Needham (Achilles) is expected to get out of his walking boot in a month, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.

Needham's recovery from the torn Achilles he suffered in October is going well as he enters the offseason as a free agent. The 25-year-old appeared in six games this season with the Dolphins, recording 21 tackles and two pass deflections. Needham wants to return to Miami in 2023, but only time will tell where he ends up next season.
