Works out for Houston
The Texans brought Williams in for a workout Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 Houston reports.
Williams, who was let go last week by the Panthers, is drawing interest from several NFL teams. That the Texans had him in suggests they are not yet settled at wide receiver after bringing in several options at the position during free agency and the draft.

Williams was waived by the Panthers on Thursday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Williams played Week 18 for the Panthers after spending the entirety of their season on the practice squad, although he only saw two offensive snaps and failed to see a target. The 26-year-old had also previously spent three seasons with the Dolphins He will now need to seek out a new opportunity.
Promoted to active roster Week 18
The Panthers elevated Williams from the practice squad Saturday, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Williams has spent the entirety of the 2022 campaign on Carolina's practice squad after being released as part of the Dolphins' final preseason-roster cuts. The 25-year-old, who logged six catches on 16 targets for 71 yards across eight games last season, should be in line for his Carolina debut heading into Sunday's regular-season finale versus New Orleans.
