Ollison received two elevations to Pittsburgh's active roster early in the season but has otherwise been on the team's practice squad since Sept. 2. In a corresponding move, the Steelers are signing David Perales to their practice squad.

Ollison reverted to Pittsburgh's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Ollison has been elevated to the active roster each of the past two weeks but has logged just one offensive snap. He's also tallied 10 special-teams snaps during the pair of contests. Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren have handled nearly all of the Steelers' backfield snaps this season, and the team signed Godwin Igwebuike Sept. 20, so Ollison may remain on the practice squad unless an injury necessitates another elevation.

The Steelers elevated Ollison to their active roster Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Ollison was called up for the Steelers' Week 2 matchup against the Browns and played five snaps on special teams. He'll likely resume that role for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Ollison was elevated ahead ahead of Monday's 26-22 win over the Browns, but he only played five snaps on special teams, failing to record a stat. The running back could join the active roster again in Week 3 versus the Raiders as Anthony McFarland (knee) will once again be unavailable.

Ollison will be tasked with handling the team's No. 3 running back role with Anthony McFarland (knee) being placed on IR. The 2019 fifth-round selection appeared in three games with the Cowboys last season, and last carried the ball in 2021 while with the Falcons.

A bulkier back at 232 pounds, Ollison hasn't gotten many opportunities to showcase his skillset with just 45 career carries across four seasons. It's possible the 2019 fifth-round pick could find himself on the active roster on gamedays as a special teams player.

The Jaguars released Ollison on Tuesday.
Ollison spent the first three years of his career in Atlanta before playing for the Cowboys last year. He's had a minimal impact to begin his NFL career and was unable to land a spot on the Jaguars' 53-man roster ahead of the 2023 campaign. The 2019 fifth-rounder will now attempt to find an opportunity elsewhere.

Ollison was selected in the fifth round of the 2019 Draft by the Falcons, appearing in 19 games for the team over a three-year span.
